Dried Flowers

For Christmas several years ago, my grandmother gave me a beautiful wreath. At first glance, I was impressed but didn't quite take the extra time to really look at it.

Later, after the family left, I had a moment to study it.
The reason it was so breathtaking was because it was made from real dried flowers.

This wreath was purchased for the mantel above our huge fireplace so it was definitely not a small wreath.

The colors of the dried flowers were brilliant and varying shades that simply demanded they be admired.

I had my husband hang the wreath up before we even crawled into bed that same evening.

Prior to receiving that wreath as a gift, I had not a clue as to all of the different creations that you could make from dried flowers.

I have dried flowers all over my house from different flower arrangements I'd received over the years.

I use them for decoration and beauty and they're excellent at catching the dust that floats around in my home.

I'll admit, they aren't the easiest to keep clean when they are scattered around the house but they still look attractive.

I was so impressed with the creation of this wreath that I did some research online and found a few appealing sites that actually sell the most beautiful of creations.

The best part is that all of those creations are made from dried flowers.

I was infatuated. Anything decorative that you can think of was available with dried flowers making it even more magnificent.

I got some very creative ideas from looking at their offerings that I would have loved to have tried.

However, I'm not the craftiest of individuals and would much rather spend the
money to know it will be perfect than feel like a failure when it falls apart.

My personal favorite was to take dried flowers and arrange them ever so precariously on top of a nicely wrapped package.

Tying the flowers onto the bows or ribbons would make a gorgeous finishing touch for a wedding present.

I won't say that the items are not expensive because you are paying a tad bit more for their elegance.

When you see what can be done with some lovely dried flowers, you will know that every penny that you spend on any of the creations is absolutely worthwhile.

After drooling over some of the loveliest of dried flower creations online, I just wanted to throw away every single boring dried flower I had in my house.
I didn't do that, of course, but I did start trying to think of some other purposes rather than collecting dust.
